Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali Tour – Volcanoes national park
Pick up by one of our company tour guides from you hotel in Kigali for a tour of Kigali city. Kigali is a beautiful modern and very clean city, offering visitors a chance to visit Gisozi genocide site, craft shops and local markets. Have lunch and later hit the road driving north-wards to Volcanoes national park in Musanze province. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Volcanoes Lodge ( Luxury), Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge / La Palme (Mid-range), Muhabura Hotel (Basic).
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking – Ibywacu Cultural Village
Today is the day to see the gorillas, wake up early for a quick breakfast and with your guide, drive to the Kinigi park head offices where briefing takes place. You can enjoy a cup fo coffee and Kinyarwanda cultural performance before briefing. Before, you gorilla trek, you will have briefing on the general overview of what takes place once you meet the gorillas, how to conduct.
You have a chance to which they type of hike you want- easy, moderate and tough, so you decide according to your physical ability. Once you meet the gorillas, you get to spend just one hour with them, you can photograph them, watch how they interact with each other not affected by your company! It’s such a wonderful experience.
Note: Your camera should not have Flash light as it can threaten the gorillas.
Once you descend from the forest, have lunch at your hotel and relax, In the afternoon head out to visit twin the ibyiwacu cultural village to learn more about the Rwandan culture. Later retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer to back Kigali
Early breakfast at your hotel and departure to the Kinigi head offices for briefing and trekking golden monkeys in the Volcanoes national park. Once back from your excursion, have lunch and hit the road back to Kigali and thereafter to the airport for your flight back home.
