Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali – Transfer to DR Congo Bukavu
Pick up after your breakfast, head out for a city tour of Kigali to the Gisozi genocide memorial site where you will visit mass graves of the 1994 genocide visit local markets and later and with your guide drive southwest of the country to Congo, crossing via the Cyangugu border into Bukavu town. Dinner and overnight at Orchid safari Lodge(Luxury/Mid Range)/Hotel Horizon (Budget).
Day 2: Lowland Gorilla tour in Kahuzi Biega
Start your day with a cup of coffee and transfer to Kahuzi Biega headquarters for a briefing before your gorilla trekking adventure. Go hiking for lowland gorillas with your guide. Seeing lowland gorillas is captivating and memorable. After tracking, you will go for a nature walk in the Kahuzi Biega park and visit Kibati waterfalls, visit Bukavu town and neighboring communities. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
In the morning, you will drive back to Kigali reaching in the evening for departure.
